Start your full-day tour with pickup at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and meet your guide aboard an air-conditioned coach. It’s a 1.5-hour drive to your first destination, where you’ll ride a rowboat on the Yen River for about 1 hour to Thien Tru Harbour. Meander downstream past mysterious caves nestled in a landscape of limestone mountains.
Disembark and follow your guide on a trek up to the main cave, Huong Tich, one of the highlights of the Hanoi area; it can only be reached by boat as there are no roads. You’ll visit Perfume Pagoda (Chua Huong) and learn about the religious significance of this Buddhist complex.
A Vietnamese lunch is served at a local restaurant at the bottom of the mountain. Afterward, visit Thien Tru (Heaven Kitchen) Pagoda, and discover more ancient Buddhist architecture dating to the Le Dynasty.
Then glide back along the scenic waterways and follow up this unforgettable journey with a 2-hour drive back to Hanoi.
